Lunge

Progression

 

Stand just behind the ball with knees slightly bent.

Take a sideways step to one side and balance on that foot.

Take a big sideways step the other way and balance on the other foot.

Take big sideways steps from side to side, just behind or just over the ball.

Go faster until you are comfortable lunging sideways over or behind the ball.

 

Dribble forward.

While the ball is still moving, lunge to one side of the ball.

Use the outside of the other foot to push the ball in the opposite direction.

(Example: Lunge to the right, onto the right foot. Push the ball to the left with the outside of the left foot.)
